Public Service Medal

Mr. Erricos Loizou Neophytou was awarded the Public Service Medal (PSM) for innovative and outstanding services to the interpreting and translating professions.
 
Mr. Neophytou is the manager, Interpreting and Translation Centre within the South Australian Office of Multicultural and International Affairs. Under his leadership, the Centre has acquired an enviable reputation for service excellence to the business and general communities. He has displayed outstanding dedication and commitment to the South Australian community by continually improving the services provided by the Centre, resulting in a major increase in the number of languages and dialects serviced and a doubling of the number of interpreting and translation assignments undertaken. Through his tireless efforts and his emphasis on exceptional customer service, the Centre has provided services to over 30,000 people in South Australia, thereby making a significant contribution to the business community and a major impact on minority groups.
